Banque de Luxembourg is one of the largest financial institutions in Luxembourg, offering wealth management solutions since 1920 and handling over €68bn of client’s deposits. To better anticipate new regulatory challenges like PSD2 and MiFID2, Banque de Luxembourg recognized that they needed to build in more flexibility and agility into their technology estate.
The bank set out a vision for a customer-centric architecture, shifting away from what was once a heavily-siloed approach, to a modular, open service oriented one. This required working with Cap4Lab and MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform to reduce tightly coupled connections between front-end and core banking systems.
By reusing existing assets and code, on their first use case, the team took less than half the amount of time it would have previously took to launch a new mobile application to market. It’s estimated that the team can now dedicate 70% of their time on innovation, versus 40% previously, helping to realize a step change in building speed in to their business and better serving their clients.
