New year, more vibes with MuleSoft

We’re happy to announce that MuleSoft Vibes: MUnit Tests is now generally available. There’s plenty more agentic and generative capabilities coming at the start of the year for our Developer, Admin, Architect and Ops users –read on to learn more!

At this year's Dreamforce we introduced MuleSoft Vibes, a purpose-built agentic experience that revolutionized how MuleSoft teams build, manage, and scale across the IT organization.

We launched Vibes with the entire application life cycle in mind, with generative and agentic capabilities for Architects, Developers, Admins and Operations.

AI tools are everywhere. It’s clear that natural-language experiences are changing how teams think about building software. What’s often called “Vibe Coding” highlights the potential: faster ideation, quicker prototyping, and fewer barriers between intent and execution.

MuleSoft’s focus has been on turning that potential into something real for enterprise IT. Vibes delivers agentic tools designed specifically to help development and integration teams be more productive, using simple natural-language prompts on a platform built for scale, reliability, and trust.

At the heart of this launch is the immediate General Availability of MUnit Tests within MuleSoft Vibes.

Testing is an integral piece of integration development, ensuring applications function as desired and validating performance during upgrades and regression testing. Achieving the high coverage thresholds required by enterprise connectivity can take a considerable investment from IT orgs. 

MUnit Tests alleviates the manual burden, streamlining the process via AI automation. Users provide the flows within a Mule application, and MuleSoft Vibes generates a comprehensive MUnit test suite designed to maximize flow coverage. Users can bypass manual configuration and focus immediately on ensuring their flows execute as desired. Developers can easily create new MUnit tests or modify existing ones via natural language, ensuring they account for all possible states of the API, both successful and unsuccessful paths.

Writing tests isn’t always the biggest hurdle in the process, more often than not finding a suitable dataset to evaluate test efficacy is the real challenge. As part of the new MUnit testing process within MuleSoft Vibes, users will also be able to generate mock or event data for each unit test. This event data is created by leveraging any metadata that exists within the application to provide context for the business logic being tested.

By embedding testing within the generative experience, MuleSoft is making quality, security, and long-term maintainability intrinsic to agentic development.

Template Support provides approved starting points that reflect organizational standards and best practices, while Global Rules Support defines non-negotiable rules that ensure critical requirements like security, logging, and error handling are consistently applied.
