Provider of world's most popular open source ESB and integration platform accepting SI, reseller, ISV, training and technology partners worldwide
SAN FRANCISCO - June 19, 2007 - MuleSource, the leading provider of open source infrastructure and integration software, today launched an official Partner Alliance Program, which will give qualified channel partners access to the largest installed base of open source ESB users.
Mule is the enterprise developer's most-used open source ESB and integration platform, with more than 700,000 total downloads and more than large-scale 1,000 enterprise production deployments to date. The MuleSource Partner Alliance Program gives qualified partners direct access to a wide range of revenue opportunities associated with the vast adoption of Mule. Currently MuleSource is recruiting partners in the following areas:
- ISVs - integrate and bundle Mule with ISV products.
- OEM Partners - embed Mule in appliances, routers, mobile devices or other enterprise technologies.
- Resellers - distribute MuleSource products and services in exclusive territories.
- Solution / Technology Providers - offer products or solutions that are complimentary to MuleSource's.
- Systems Integrators - exclusive opportunities to provide implementation, integration and architecture services to Mule users in specific regions / vertical industries.
- Training Partners - deliver training to Mule users and prospective Mule users.
Since its initial company launch in October of 2006, MuleSource has established relationships with more than 20 services providers and technology partners specializing in open source IT. The new Partner Alliance Program will formalize different tiers of partnership based on specific metrics, such as geographies covered, vertical industry expertise and more.
"We evaluated all the other open source and commercial integration solutions, and Mule without question gives us the greatest flexibility to customize," said Carl Houghton, Vice President of Strategic Planning at ISS, the Colorado Springs-based provider of data analysis to the Department of Defense and numerous other National Intelligence Organizations. "We're seeing tremendous uptake of Mule in many agencies in government IT, and as a Technology Partner with MuleSource, Mule is a big part of our overall integration solutions offerings in the market."
"As a major solutions provider serving a wide range of vertical industries, it is important to align ourselves with an integration platform that can handle the widest range of practical customer requirements," said Hari Nadimpalli, Vice President at MuleSource Solution Provider partner 3i-InfoTech, a global Information Technology company providing solutions to more than 500 customers in more than 50 countries. "Whether it's for a banking, insurance, manufacturing or retail customer - Mule has a proven track record solving integration challenges in all of these environments."
"The industries we serve require integration across a wide range of systems, platforms and message formats," said Fred Domke, President of Business Integration Technology - a St. Louis-based MuleSource Solution Provider Partner for whom Mule is a core component of their leading B2B integration solutions including EME-BI for the book industry. "Mule allows us to integrate trading partners across the supply chain by configuration rather than custom programming, greatly reducing the total cost and accelerating the benefits of supply chain collaboration."
"In the healthcare industry, most integration solutions are built in-house by resident teams," said Carlos Diaz, Managing Partner at EA technologies, a Florida-based MuleSource Solution Provider Partner that specializes in healthcare. "We're seeing Mule displacing a lot of the other integration solutions in healthcare, because it was designed for use by Java developers, allows for the best customization and is simply the best-designed ESB on the market. EA technologies sees a profitable future partnering with MuleSource in the healthcare industry."
MuleSource's Partner Alliance Program will also expand the company's partnerships in strategic international geographies. Building on its initial roster of international partnerships in Japan, Australia, Norway, the United Kingdom and Argentina - MuleSource is accepting partnership applications from all continents in every channel partner category.
"In Asia and Australia, the penetration of Mule into enterprise integration scenarios has been impressive," said Robert Castaneda, CTO and Founder of Australia and Malaysia-based CustomWare Asia Pacific, a new MuleSource SI Partner in the Asia Pacific region. "The initial attraction to Mule and open source integration was the accessibility and the price point. But now the market's interest level has matured to the level of customization and fine-tuning that simply isn't available with other proprietary solutions. That translates to a better integration solution for customers, and new opportunities for SI's like CustomWare that can offer a high level of service to their customers."
The market for application, integration and messaging software is estimated at $8.5 billion, with the market for the support and services of these software products valued at $132 billion (Source: Gartner). To date, these markets have largely been dominated by monolithic proprietary vendors who offer solutions that require considerable upfront licensing fees and professional services expenditures -- and whose partner program structures tend to be very one-sided.
