User Information Collected.
This information may include:
- Personal Information for registration and access, such as your name, company, address, email address, phone number, title, credit card information that you provide directly when you register on our Sites, make an online requests, join an online community or other group, or inquire about the MuleSoft software,
- Personal Information that you provide as part of the online job application process or in the process of registering or participating for a MuleSoft Services, training, event, user group, or conference.
- Personal Information provided directly by our customers or their representatives, including but not limited to services purchase information; payment data; billing information; usernames and passwords.
- Passively Collected Information, including through the use of "cookies" or other similar technologies as described below, such as IP addresses, web browser and operating system information, date and time of visits, and the web pages your internet browser visits when browsing any Sites and Services; click-through information related to MuleSoft emails and related marketing activities; and aggregate, non-Personal Information, such as the number of hits per week or per web page.
Use and Disclosure of User Information.
We intend to use User Information for purposes of supporting your relationship with MuleSoft, which may entail Sites and Services that are suitable to your needs and alerting you to products and service offerings as they become available. If you decide that we should not use your personal User Information to contact you, please let us know and we will not use that information for such purpose. Do not submit any User Information if you are less than 18 years of age.
MuleSoft may use User Information for the following purposes: communicating with you, customers, prospects, partners, and others; fulfillment and tracking of orders; provision, personalization and customization of MuleSoft Sites and Services; tracking of payments and otherwise ensuring payment; assessing performance and making assessments about future purchases; performing marketing activities directly or through a business partner and otherwise communicating information regarding MuleSoft Services (where permitted by law); providing registration for and participation in training, events and conferences; and for facilitating online employment application process.
MuleSoft reserves the right to use or disclose information provided as required by law such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process, or if it reasonably believes in good faith that use or disclosure is necessary to protect MuleSoft’s rights, to protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
If MuleSoft is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all of a portion of its assets, you will be notified via a notice on our Sites or the Site to which the change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information applies.
When you submit inquires on our Sites, we obtain information about you from third party sources to identify your state and country, so that your inquiries may be directed to the appropriate representative.
As is true of most Sites, we gather certain information automatically and store them in log files. This information may include Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data. We may combine this automatically collected log information with other information we collect about you. We do this to improve services we offer you, to improve marketing, analytics, or Site functionality.
E-Tag is a technology that is part of the standard HTTP protocol that allows our Sites to validate temporary storage (cache) of our pages and images. This ensures that you are viewing the latest version of our Site since your last visit.
Local Storage (LS) such as HTML5 are used to store content information and preferences. Various browsers may offer their own management tools for removing HTML5 LSs.

Web beacons are a clear graphic image of 1x1 pixel that is delivered through a web browser usually as part of a webpage request or an email. Web beacons operate as a tag that records an end users interaction with a web site or email.
Cookie is a small data file that a web site can generate and transfer to a visitor’s computer or another device. A cookie contains information such as your username and password that helps us recognize the pages you have visited, improve user experience and future visits as well as direct more relevant advertisements, and can be used for a lot of different purposes. A cookie cannot read data off your hard drive or read cookie files created by other web sites. Disabling a cookie or category of cookie does not delete the cookie from your browser; you will need to do this yourself from within your browser. Please note that our Sites may not be available or work properly once cookies are disabled. Essential Cookies. These cookies are essential in order to enable you to navigate the Sites and use its features, such as accessing secure areas and using Services. These cookies are also used to identify you and tie you to your account (if registered).

MuleSoft does not (i) sell or trade User Information to third parties or (ii) transfer it for any other purpose than set forth above.
Newsletters and Marketing
You may signup to receive newsletters. We may occasionally send promotional communication (“Marketing”) to you as well. Out of respect for your privacy, you may choose to stop receiving our newsletter or Marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in these emails.
You can use certain features on our Sites by using sign-in services such as Facebook Connect, Google, Twitter, Yahoo, Saleforce or an Open ID provider. These services will authenticate your identity and provide you the option to share certain personal information with us such as your name and email address to pre-populate our sign up form. Services like Facebook Connect and Twitter give you the option to post information about your activities on our Sites to your profile page to share with others within your network.
We display Endorsements received from other companies and satisfied customers If you are a customer, we will only post your testimonial along with your name with your consent. If you wish to update or delete your endorsement, you can contact us at Privacy@mulesoft.com.
We may share your personal information with companies that provide services to help us with our business activities such as purchasing products and credit card processing. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us.
MuleSoft is concerned with the security of your User Information and is committed to taking reasonable steps to protect it from unauthorized access and use of that personal information. To that end, we put in place the appropriate physical, electronic and managerial policies and procedures designed to secure your personal User Information. We encrypt the transmission of your sensitive personal information including your login credentials. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is one hundred percent secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Individuals may contact the MuleSoft Privacy Contact identified below to review User Information about them. MuleSoft reserves the right to take reasonable steps to authenticate the identity of any such individual seeking access to User Information.
Access, Usernames and Passwords.
Access to certain content on our Sites may be allowed under a written agreement between you and MuleSoft, and may require a username or password issued by MuleSoft. In some cases, failure to provide personal information may prevent you from accessing certain MuleSoft Sites or MuleSoft Services. By accessing and using our protected and secured Site(s), you agree to maintain the confidentiality of the username and password you selected to access such site(s) and consent to our standard terms and conditions applicable to MuleSoft Services.
Although we are not obligated to do so, we may review your communications with respect to the Sites and Services to determine whether you comply with the applicable terms of MuleSoft Services. MuleSoft will not have any liability or responsibility for the content of any communications you provide, or for any errors or violations of any laws or regulations by you.
Our Sites displays links to other third party Sites. Even if the third party is affiliated with MuleSoft through a business partnership or otherwise, MuleSoft is not responsible for the privacy policies or practices or the content of such external links. These links are provided to you for convenience purposes only and you access them at your own risk.
In addition to cookies and tools described above MuleSoft uses social media features, such as the Facebook 'like' button and sharing features for marketing and communication purposes. These features may collect certain data, such as your IP address, based on your behavior on the Sites and may set a cookie to enable relevant features of such social media to function properly. These features may be hosted by MuleSoft or a third party. Please note that your interactions with social media features on shall be governed by the privacy policies of the company providing the feature(s).
Some of our Sites offer publicly accessible blogs or community forums. Personal Information such as your name is disclosed. You should be aware that any information you provide in these areas may be read, collected, and used by others who access them. To request removal of your personal information from our blog, community forum, or to have an unauthorized profile removed. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. In some cases, we may not be able to remove your personal information, in which case we will let you know if we are unable to do so and why. Our Sites also connect to blogs and forums hosted on third-party Sites, we do not control these Sites, all profile information and postings on these Sites are governed by their own privacy policies, please contact the respective Site to request to have your personal information removed.

MuleSoft complies with the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Framework and the U.S. - Swiss Safe Harbor Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, transfer and retention of personal information from European Union member countries and Switzerland. Access to Information and choice
If your personal information changes you may email us to have it [corrected, updated, amended or removed] at email@example.com or send the inquiry by postal mail at the address listed below. We will respond to your request within a reasonable time. We will retain your information for as long as needed to provide you services. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Data Collected for our Clients through our Platform(s)
MuleSoft Platforms such as Dataloader.io, collect information under the direction of its Clients, and has no direct relationship with the individuals whose personal data it processes. An individual who seeks access, or who seeks to correct, amend, or delete inaccurate data should direct his query to MuleSoft’s client (the data controller). If you submit a request to have your data removed to us, we will respond to this request within 30 days. If you are a customer of one of our Clients and would no longer like to be contacted by one of our Clients that use our service, please contact the Client that you interact with directly. We may transfer personal information to companies that help us provide our service. Transfers to subsequent third parties are covered by the service agreements with our Clients. We will retain personal data we process on behalf of our Clients for as long as needed to provide services to our Client. MuleSoft will retain this personal information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
