SAN FRANCISCO – April 16, 2015 – MuleSoft, the company that makes it easy to connect applications, data and devices, today announced its position as a Leader in Gartner’s 2015 Magic Quadrant for Application Services Governance, which covers the planning, design, implementation, publication, operation, consumption, maintenance and retirement of APIs and services. It marks the third Magic Quadrant in which MuleSoft holds a leadership position, along with the Magic Quadrants for Enterprise Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS), Worldwide, published March 23, 2015, and On-Premises Application Integration Suites, published July 29, 2014. The reports, including the quadrant graphics, are available for free download at https://www.mulesoft.com/gartner-magic-quadrant-leader.
"MuleSoft is already recognized as a leading provider of on-premises integration and iPaaS, playing a significant role in an enterprise’s hybrid integration strategy. We believe the recognition in application services governance completes our vision of providing the only platform to fully deliver API-led connectivity," said Ken Yagen, vice president of products, MuleSoft. “We feel that our continued placement as a leader is validation of the true strength of Anypoint Platform. With the combination of APIs and integration in the cloud and on-premises, our unified platform enables customers to have the freedom to connect what they want, when they want.”
In the Magic Quadrant for Application Services Governance1, Gartner evaluated providers with solutions that support API management and SOA governance efforts, both on-premises and in the cloud. According to Gartner, “The most distinctive attribute Leaders in this market have is that they kept the pace of changing technologies and the changing nature of projects. The rise of the API economy has put API management in everybody's thoughts, and API management took central stage in this quadrant. APIs must come from somewhere, and leaders extended their offerings to API design and implementation. API programs frequently start small with innovative ideas, and they need to execute fast. The Leaders made sure their offerings could cope with this dynamic environment.”
MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform™ is a complete solution for API-led connectivity that integrates applications and data both on-premises and in the cloud, unleashing the value of that data through the design, implementation and management of APIs. As enterprises increasingly experience digital transformation, Anypoint Platform helps customers expose data for access through digital channels by enabling them to design, build and manage APIs throughout their entire lifecycle. Enterprises benefit from these API capabilities as part of a single platform that integrates any application, data source or API to extend connectivity across the entire enterprise.
