Solutions Architect

As a Solutions Architect on our Services team, you will have the opportunity to enable our customers to understand and employ MuleSoft technology to its fullest extent.

You will provide critical on-site technical leadership on MuleSoft implementation projects by evaluating the customer’s technical and functional requirements, developing an architectural blueprint in line with their business goals, and advising on best practices for on-premise, cloud, hybrid integration, and API management.

You will be an influencer and thought leader with in-depth technical expertise and the credibility to provide detailed guidance to the implementation team. As a subject matter expert in the field, you will also perform hands-on activities as required to ensure project success.

Goals for your first three months:

30 days:

  • Complete MuleSoft product training and become an expert on our consulting methodology
  • Attend company Kickstart field messaging training for field-facing roles
  • Become introduced to M2 & C4E (Center for Enablement)

60 days:

  • Shadow Solutions Architects on current engagements and on carrying out best practices
  • Build solutions for customers and practice MuleSoft implementation
  • Review sample project deliverables and develop sample integrations and frameworks
  • Contribute subject matter expertise to effort estimation and SOW development

90 days:

  • Be fully ramped on MuleSoft technology and implementation, and 100% billable and leading engagements for our customers
  • Client enablement begins:
  • Deliver compelling presentations, architectural blueprint documents, and requirements-gathering workshops to influence the strategic direction of our projects and lead customers through solution design
  • Lead technical teams through multi-phased delivery projects and provide hands-on delivery guidance to influence standards for development, governance and operational lifecycle
  • Identify opportunities for expansion of the MuleSoft footprint as appropriate
  • Identify ongoing risks and pain points throughout the project, developing and implementing mitigation measures to meet customer needs

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Track record of demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting Enterprise-grade technical solutions meeting complex business requirements, as well as providing technical solutions development for on-premise and SaaS applications using JEE and JSE frameworks
  • Integration and interface architecture experience with:
    • MuleSoft or other solutions (e.g., IBM, BEA, Oracle, Tibco, Progress Sonic)
    • one or more on-premise / SaaS packaged solutions for ERP, CRM, e-Commerce, or mobile (e.g. Salesforce.com, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, WorkDay, etc.)
  • Experience designing public and private enterprise secure services using RAML and/or REST based APIs
  • Knowledge of Open Source architectures and/or past contributions to open source projects
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF
  • Experience profiling and troubleshooting Java application code
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time (varies depending on customer needs)
  • Passion for knowledge transfer and teaching customers and partners on best practices to ensure their long-term success
  • Experience with Tomcat, XML, JMS, WS-*, SOA integration, API Management technologies and standards as well as DevOps (Docker, Kubernetes) and/or Security (Ping Federate & OAUTH2 & SAML, Open AM) is a plus
