Mule for ETL

Event Synopsis:
During the event, MuleSoft core developers Dirk Olmes and Travis Carlson discussed how to use Mule for an ETL use cases, including techniques such as parsing character delimited fields, writing a transformer to generate a Map, and sending Maps to endpoints. They also gave examples on converting a file to JDBC and converting JDBC to a file.

You can download the example code shown during the webinar here.

The examples shown in the webinar were on Mule ESB 2.2 - if you don't already have the Mule ESB installed, you can download it here.

The examples were on the Community version of Mule ESB and leveraged the community maintained JDBC transport; the Enterprise JDBC transport that comes with Mule ESB Enterprise provides key functionality, performance improvements, transformers, and examples not available in the Mule ESB Community release. Mule ESB Enterprise comes with an Enterprise JDBC transport - you can view the differences between the Community and Enterprise JDBC transport here.
