Connecting the New Enterprise
Ross Mason, Founder, MuleSoft

The mega-trends of SaaS, mobile and Big Data are converging, generating a new wave of business opportunity for enterprises. The convergence demands a new kind of platform – one that connects and takes advantage of the explosion of endpoints and data caused by organizations each choosing a uniquely diverse set of best-of-breed applications to power their business. Ross Mason will discuss his vision for this new platform and demonstrate how MuleSoft’s solutions are making it a reality.

Building a Strategy for SOA Governance and API Management
Ken Yagen, VP Products, MuleSoft

The new enterprise opens potential new revenue and customer acquisition channels but also complicates the problems of service proliferation and policy compliance. Building a flexible service ecosystem that can support both legacy and modern technologies (e.g. SaaS, APIs, Mobile, Cloud) requires transparency of service availability and utilization, easy virtualization of resources across datacenters or out into the cloud, adaptable policy and SLA enforcement for service consumers, and simple, easy developer onboarding. In addition, turning enterprise resources into SaaS services that customers, partners and third party developers can consume demands a new approach to SOA governance and API management. Ken Yagen, VP of Products for MuleSoft, will discuss and demonstrate how leading organizations are overcoming these challenges with the the next generation of SOA governance and API management solutions from MuleSoft.

Speakers

Ross Mason

Ross Mason, Founder, MuleSoft Inc.

Ross founded MuleSoft in 2006 to change the middleware market with innovative technology, a new business model and a dedicated focus on customer success. Ross created the open source Mule® project in 2003. Frustrated by integration "donkey work," and the big vendor integration offerings he set out to create a new platform that emphasised ease of development and re-use of components. He started the Mule project to bring a modern approach, one of assembly, rather than repetitive coding, to developers worldwide. Today MuleSoft serves many of the largest companies in the world helping them to bridge from on-premise to the cloud, from legacy to SaaS and mobile.
